On Tuesday night, right in the heart of the Volunteer State, we’re going to find out if Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District is still country… or if the Left has managed to slip a little Brooklyn into Nashville.
This isn’t just another sleepy special election. This is a 20-point Trump district in central Tennessee — a seat former Rep. Mark Green won comfortably, and an area that has been deep red for a long time. If Democrats manage to flip this thing, it’s not just a headline. It’s a warning shot.
On one side, you’ve got Democrat Aftyn Behn.
On the other, Republican Matt Van Epps.
It should be an easy win for the GOP. But it isn’t. And that’s why everyone from grassroots patriots to D.C. insiders is watching.
Before we talk strategy, let’s talk about who Democrats are trying to ram into this district.
Aftyn Behn isn’t hiding who she is. She once openly said she “hates” Nashville — not just the traffic or the prices, but the whole vibe that made the city what it is:
“I hate the bachelorettes, I hate the pedal taverns, I hate country music. I hate all the things that make Nashville apparently an ‘it city.’”
She’s been branded the “AOC of Tennessee”, and honestly, that’s not far off. She’s a progressive in a district that went overwhelmingly for Trump — politically closer to New York or Los Angeles than Middle Tennessee. Republicans are leaning hard into that, and they should. You don’t send a New York-style leftist to represent a Tennessee district and call that “the will of the people.”
But here’s the problem:
This race is still close.
Even some Republicans, like Rep. Tim Burchett, are admitting, “It shouldn’t even be close. But it is.”
That tells you a lot.
Let’s be real: If Behn wins, the media and the Democrats are going to act like it’s the second coming of the Music City Miracle. They’ll say it proves Trump is losing his grip, that the GOP brand is damaged, that a blue wave is already forming ahead of 2026.
And whether we like it or not, a Behn win would raise serious questions:
At the same time, a Behn win would also drag the Democrat Party even further left. You don’t run the “AOC of Tennessee” in a red district and then turn around and pretend your party is “moderate.” If she pulls this off, every progressive in the country is going to start thinking they can win in places they have no business winning — and that could backfire on Democrats in a big way down the line.
Because while the far-left message might sneak through here or there in a special election, that same message does not play in most of the competitive House districts Democrats need to retake control.
Now flip it.
If Matt Van Epps holds the seat for Republicans, you can’t just look at the W.
You’ve got to look at the margin.
This is a district Trump carried by more than 20 points. If Van Epps wins by a razor-thin margin, that doesn’t scream “strength.” That screams “you almost blew a 20-point lead in your own backyard.”
We’ve seen this movie before. Back in 2017, Democrats came close in a handful of special elections under Trump. They didn’t win those races, but the warning signs were there. A year later, they flipped 41 seats and took the House in 2018.
So even if Van Epps wins, serious Republicans need to ask:
On the other hand, if Van Epps wins comfortably, Republicans will say exactly what you’d expect:
This is a rejection of Behn’s far-left politics. This is proof that Tennessee is still Tennessee. And in a sense, they’d be right.
No matter what happens, the media is going to do what it always does:
Take one night of results and try to turn it into a prophetic word about the next two years.
Special elections are tricky. They’re low-turnout. They’re weirdly timed — and this one is squeezed between Thanksgiving and Christmas, when most normal people are focused on family, not ballot boxes.
Sometimes special elections really are early warnings. Sometimes they’re just noise. The challenge is figuring out which one this is.
But here’s what we do know:
Still, that doesn’t mean you ignore it.
You take every warning seriously when the country is this divided and the stakes are this high.
Here’s my takeaway as Eddie Smith:
Whether this seat stays red or suddenly turns blue, this election is a wake-up call for patriots.
If you think your district is “safe,” it isn’t.
If you think your vote doesn’t matter in a special election, it does.
If you think the Left won’t pour money and energy into flipping a Trump district just to create a headline and a narrative — they absolutely will.
This is bigger than country music, pedal taverns, or bachelorette parties.
This is about whether a deeply conservative district holds the line or lets the Left pry open a crack in the wall.
If Republicans hold it, good — but they better pay attention to the scoreboard.
If Democrats flip it, you’re going to hear the phrase “Music City Miracle” until your ears bleed.
Either way, patriots should take note:
The fight isn’t coming.

There are stories you come across that don’t just break your heart — they make your blood boil. This one out of the Netherlands is exactly that. It’s a reminder that when a culture refuses to confront evil, evil doesn’t slow down. It tightens its grip.
Dutch prosecutors are calling for up to 25 years in prison for a Muslim father and his two sons who allegedly murdered an 18-year-old girl — their own flesh and blood — because she dared to live like a normal Western teenager.
Her name was Ryan Al Najjar.
She was just 18.
And according to investigators, her family saw her as a “burden to be removed.”
Why?
Because she didn’t want to live under the suffocating rules of a “strict Islamic household.”
Because she wanted to live free.
Because she posted a TikTok video wearing makeup and without a headscarf.
And for that, her own family decided she needed to die.
Her body was found in a lake six days after she vanished.
Hands and feet bound.
Signs of strangulation.
Thrown into the water alive, according to prosecutors.
Sixty feet of tape wrapped around her body.
Let that sink in.
A young woman in a supposedly civilized Western nation… drowned because her father and brothers believed she brought them “shame.”
Authorities say the father, Khaled, coordinated the killing, then ran off to Syria like a coward — marrying another woman while his sons sat in Dutch jail facing the consequences.
His DNA was found under his daughter’s fingernails.
That means she fought.
She knew who was doing this to her.
And he did it anyway.
According to prosecutors, the immediate trigger was a simple TikTok video.
Ryan appeared without a headscarf.
She wore makeup.
She smiled.
Her family saw that as “shameful.”
That tells you everything you need to know.
When someone is willing to kill their own daughter because she didn’t follow a religious dress code, you’re not dealing with “cultural differences.”
You’re dealing with a mindset that has no place in a free society.
Prosecutors say the brothers lured Ryan to a remote park, where their father showed up to finish the job. The murder scene was so isolated that “no one for miles around could have heard her.”
Imagine the terror she felt in those final moments.
This is the part no one wants to talk about — the dark side of importing strict, honor-based cultures into Western societies and pretending it will all work out in the name of “diversity.”
This is not diversity.
This is brutality.
Prosecutors are recommending:
And that’s the minimum they deserve.
Whether Dutch officials can extradite Khaled from Syria is uncertain.
They say he remarried — probably to hide behind new legal protections.
A man kills his daughter over a headscarf… and then seeks refuge in another country that shares his worldview.
You don’t need a political science degree to understand what’s happening.
This isn’t about Islam vs. the West.
This is about right vs. wrong.
Good vs. evil.
Freedom vs. oppression.
A father and two sons believed they had the right to take a young woman’s life because she wanted to live free — the same freedom we take for granted every single day in America.
Her name was Ryan Al Najjar.
She deserved better.
She deserved life.
She deserved the freedom God intended for every human being.
And her story should shake every one of us awake.
Because evil doesn’t retreat on its own.
It advances until someone stands up and says:
Not here.
Not ever again.

As the Trump administration conducts deadly strikes against alleged drug boats of narco-terrorists, War Secretary Pete Hegseth posted a meme depicting the children's book series character Franklin firing a weapon at such a vessel.
"For your Christmas wish list…" Hegseth joked when sharing the fake book cover.
The meme shows the turtle character in a helicopter, firing what appears to be an RPG at one of the boats in the water below. The RPG fired by Franklin flies toward the vessel, where there is already an explosion occurring.

"Franklin Targets Narco Terrorists," the title on the fake book cover reads.
Democratic Rep. Seth Moulton of Massachusetts, who is running for Senate, blasted Hegseth.

"You're a disgrace," he wrote.
"There's nothing Christian about war crimes," former Rep. Justin Amash wrote in response to Hegseth's post.

"As we’ve said from the beginning, and in every statement, these highly effective strikes are specifically intended to be ‘lethal, kinetic strikes.’ The declared intent is to stop lethal drugs, destroy narco-boats, and kill the narco-terrorists who are poisoning the American people. Every trafficker we kill is affiliated with a Designated Terrorist Organization," Hegseth wrote in part of a recent post on X.

Those were her words.
With a straight face, the woman in charge of a major American police force told the public that breaking into the United States is basically the equivalent of an unpaid parking ticket.
Illegal entry into this country is a crime under 8 U.S. Code 1325.
It always has been.
It always will be.
And every American knows it.
The only people pretending otherwise are politicians, activists, and now apparently police chiefs who don’t feel like following the law they swore to uphold.
When a police leader decides which federal laws matter and which ones she’ll ignore, that’s not law enforcement — that’s a soft coup.
Translation: We don’t want to. And we won’t.
She made one thing perfectly clear: her department will step in to protect illegal immigrants… but not to help ICE enforce the law.
Read that again.
Your tax dollars will be used to “protect” people who broke into your country, while federal agents trying to secure our borders are left hanging.
That’s not incompetence.
That’s not poor judgment.
That is sedition.
You are watching a government official obstruct federal law in real time — and daring you to stop her.
Critics from every corner of the country called her out:
Even the Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill stepped in and reminded the world:
“It is a state crime to obstruct ICE and federal immigration enforcement.”
Let me translate that into plain English:
What she’s doing is illegal.
Not “questionable.” Not “controversial.”
Illegal.
And that’s why people are furious.
Because if the highest law enforcement officer in New Orleans refuses to enforce the law, then what she’s really saying is:
The law no longer applies.
Whether you’re in New Orleans or Nebraska, this should terrify you.
A nation where police chiefs can publicly nullify federal law is not a nation ruled by law — it’s ruled by whoever is loudest, boldest, or most politically protected.
What happens when other departments follow her lead?
What happens when governors join in?
What happens when federal law simply becomes “optional”?
That is how a nation falls apart.
Not with a bang — but with leaders shrugging their shoulders and saying, “We just won’t enforce that one.”
This is a fight for the very definition of a country.
Either we are a nation with borders, laws, and a Constitution…
or we are a playground for criminals, activists, and rogue officials who think they’re above the law.
You cannot have both.
And make no mistake:
This is the moment where Americans must decide whether we stand up… or get steamrolled.
Because if a police chief can defy federal law without consequences, then the government has effectively chosen sides.
And it isn’t ours.
This is not politics.
This is not left vs. right.
This is the battle for the soul of the country.
A police superintendent just told America she will not defend its borders.
That is a declaration.
A warning.
A challenge.
And as for the rest of us?
We either draw our line in the sand…
or we let them erase it for us.
